I don't know if you've tried searching, but there are numberous videos on youtube that have everything to do with type and design.
I found the video we watched in type I with Paula Scher (search Hillman Curtis/Paula Scher) and it's so much more interesting now.
something she said made me realize how incredibly akin she is to James Whistler. In his infamous trial, he noted that he'd made nocturne in green and gold in half a day. When the lawyer started badgering him, saying he charged a ridiculous sum of money for half a day's work, and whistler replied, 'no, for the experience of a lifetime.'
And Paula was talking about how it took her thirty seconds to design the citi logo, and then added 'and 34 years of experience.'
I just thought it was an interesting parallel.

Humans

'One of the things Ford Prefect had always found hardest to understand about humans was their habit of continually stating and repeating the very obvious, as in 'It's a nice day,' or 'You're very tall,' or 'Oh dear you seem to have fallen down a thirty-foot well, are you all right?' At first Ford had formed a theory to account for this strange behavior. If human beings didn't keep exercising their lips, he thought, their mouths probably seize up. After a few months' consideration and observation he abandoned this theory in favor of a new one. If they don't keep on exercising their lips, he thought, their brains start working. After a while he abandoned this one as well as being obstructively cynical and decided he quite liked human beings after all, but he always remained desperately worried about the terrible number of things they didn't know about.'

Typography III ideas:

Write a kids' book. Lots of cool pop-ups and type.
Write a kids' book that's completely satirical. Lots of social commentary.
Animate a short film about letters-that's a story.
Just kill myself now.
